School Re-start Programme

2nd July 2020

Years 14 and 12

Monday 24 August and Tuesday 25 August 2020:  Year 14, plus Year 12, first half of Abercorn, ALL Burnell & ALL Robinson.

Wednesday 26 August and Thursday 27 August 2020:  Year 14, plus Year 12, second half of Abercorn, ALL Jones & ALL Patton.

Pupils in the above years should proceed to their first timetabled class.

 

Year 8

Friday 28 August 2020All new Year 8 only (Noon finish).

All Year 8 pupils should enter the school by the side entrance and proceed to Assembly Hall 2.  Following this, each Form Class will be taken to designated rooms for their first day induction.

Tuesday 1 September 2020:  All Year 14 plus first half of each form in Key Stage 3, and the divisions in Years 11 and 12 as above.  Year 13 will be provided with information following results.

Wednesday 2 September 2020:  All Year 14 plus the second half of each year group.

On each of these days all pupils will go directly to their designated rooms for Form Time 9.00 - 11.15am.  Following this session, the pupils in school will follow their Week 1 timetable.

On Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September, pupils in the first cohort (Group 1) of class groups, will be in school following week 1 timetable. The other group (Group 2) will be taught on-line following the timetable.

The week beginning Monday 7 September 2020, this will be reversed and Group 2 pupils will be in school, while Group 1 pupils will follow the timetable on-line at home.

 

 

Protective Bubbles:

All pupils in Key Stage 3 will be in Protective Bubbles; this means that they will remain in the same room all day, teachers will travel to them for lessons.  Break and Lunch will also be in these rooms.

 

Canteen facilities:

There will be no canteen service; pupils must bring their own break and lunch.  Free School Meals will be provided in the form of packed lunch.  Pupils in Years 11-14 will have designated eating areas for break and lunch.

 

PE:

Pupils may wear their school PE tracksuit on days when they have this subject on their timetable.  If it is good, they can experience this subject outside; if the weather is not conducive to this, teaching will take place in their rooms.

Digital devices:

Pupils are permitted to bring their own digital devices (phone) for use in class at the discretion of their teacher.
