   CAMBRIDGE HOUSE GRAMMAR SCHOOL

At CHGS we pride ourselves in recognising and celebrating achievement and leadership.
Our Annual Awards Evening is held each September and on that evening we commend achievement covering the full range of academic and extra curricular successes.
From 2011, the school will hold two Awards Ceremonies: Junior Awards in October and Senior Awards in December.  The Honours Assembly is traditionally held on St Patrick's Day.

CAMBRIDGE HOUSE GRAMMAR SCHOOL STUDENT LEADERSHIP

The school endeavours to ensure that as many students as possible across all Year Groups in the school are afforded the opportunity to take on leadership positions.  Through the Regional Training Unit (RTU) over the past two years, the school has been engaged in a Building Leadership Capacity programme and this is now one of the main areas of focus in our School Development Plan.

We are continually seeking to widen opportunities for students to lead and to develop those critical flexible skills of communication, decision making, problem solving, forward planning and seeking creative solutions to all challenges.

We therefore are delighted to be able to offer a full range of Leadership positions to our students.  Many of these leadership opportunities are undertaken on a voluntary capacity and some required application.  Details can be obtained from Mrs O'Kane, Senior Teacher for Achievement 2009-2011.  Others are publicised via school assemblies: Key Stage Assemblies and Year Group Assemblies.

We celebrate achievement in many ways including Certificates of Participation, Leadership Certificates, Awards and Accolades.
