Cambridge House Grammar School Music Department At Cambridge House Grammar School all pupils study music in years 8 to 10. You can then decide if you would like to study music at GCSE. For this course you need to be a competent performer. You will also compose your own pieces and answer questions about music in general. If you wish you can continue to study music at AS and A level, perhaps then to follow in the footsteps of many former pupils who have studied music at university and taken up music as a career. Music at Cambridge House Grammar School involves exploring the sounds of many instruments such as keyboards, percussion and instruments of the orchestra. You will listen to and compose in the style of many different composers and countries. You will also be able to benefit from using our state of the art Apple Mac computers and Recording Studio. Instrumental Tuition There are weekly lessons available for strings, woodwind and percussion. These are organised on a rota basis so that you will not miss the same class each week. It is envisaged that brass provision will be restored next year. Achievements
