Media Studies
The Cambridge House Grammar School Media Studies Department is made up of four dynamic teachers who are passionate about their subject.
Students from Years 11-14 are given learning experiences which allow them to explore our 21st Century media-saturated society. Students study the construction of media products, issues of representation, audience and narrative theories and media industries. The chance to create original media productions is particularly attractive to our students who produce magazines, film posters and films for their coursework.
A new edition to the Media Studies Department is GCSE Journalism in the Media and Communications Industry. The first cohort of students completed this course in June 2010 and 75% A*-B grades were achieved.
