CAMBRIDGE HOUSE GRAMMAR SCHOOL
ART DEPARTMENT

Here at Cambridge House Grammar School, we have a very strong and vibrant Art Department.  The teachers have a lot of professional experience in various disciplines of art and design and we believe in not just telling pupils how to create exciting work, but showing them.

Key Stage 3
In Key Stage 3, pupils get to work with a very wide range of materials and processes, with the emphasis being on enjoyment of the subject while developing sound artistic skills and knowledge.
These skills are relevant for a tremendously broad range of careers.  For those who want extra time in the art room, the Art Club meets on Mondays after school.

Key Stage 4 GCSE
Pupils who choose this subject at GCSE will be shown how to create really exciting pieces and will be able to work on a large scale.

A Level
The work produced by our AS and A2 students is truly amazing and we are very proud of our results in public examinations.

To help you make the most of your abilities we have after school study provision running most afternoons and we encourage pupils to submit work for competitions at all levels.
Cambridge House Grammar School pupils have won the Translink Ulster in Bloom Art Competition more than once in the past few years and last year Emily Hill (in Year 14) won the ‘Trash Couture’ Fashion Competition (and €500 for herself), beating off competition from schools across the nine counties of Ulster.

So, if you’re interested in art, you’ll love it here, and we’ll bring out the best in you – our track record proves it.
